NUVALI:UNVEILING OUTDOOR ART SCULPTURES

Now we can celebrate EARTH DAY, everyday in NUVALI.

NUVALI is holding a month-long program this August called GREENSTALLATIONS which aims to promote sustainability through art.

From August 3 to September 1, 2013, all outdoor art installations by a well renowned acclaimed artists will be giving the public the opportunity to witness all their art works.

These are the following artists who took part in making all this possible in sustaining the way of living of each one of us through art.

MARIO MALLARI JR.: He designed "THE LAST TREE" for GREENSTALLATIONS and its trademark is made from metal collection.

JUAN CARLO CALMA: His GREENSTALLATIONS contribution is aptly named "FLOWER PRIMITIVE", created out of materials like Thick Mild Steel Sheet, welded in Anzhal Red Glossy Reflective Finish. The sculpture's seemingly soft and pliant sheets of metal are formed into delicate flowers that gracefully blend the contours of the contemporary landscape.

MICHAEL CACNIO, a 1996 Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) Awardee who has made a name for himself for his figurative brass sculptured which pay tribute to nature and traditional Filipino scenes. Homage to a good Filipino game that Michael contributed to GREENSTALLATION design  is called "LUKSONG LUBID".

And last but not the least is EDUARDO CASTRILLO. Best known for his metal creations, particularly in brass and bronze, he contributed the Paris Biennial in 1971, "La Pieta"(1971) at Loyola Memorial Park and the "People Power" monument (1993) in EDSA. And now his contribution for GREENSTALLATION called "COMMUNITY CREATION", a depiction of the dynamics of creative minds coming together and working as one.

The Outdoor Art Sculptures remind us that there is always something for the nature to feed our senses and NUVALI continuously pushes that everyday is Earth day. Along with this, NUVALI will launch "Ecograffiti", turning vandalism into a better community-eco-friendly street art.

Indeed, nature and man are one. Our daily lives are anchored into the wonders and marvels of Mother Earth.
Through NUVALI's efforts in integrating arts and environment, we can feel the presence of nature in our lives. Join us to always celebrate Earth day at NUVALI, STA. ROSA LAGUNA.
