SMB OktoberFest 2012 @ Paseo de Sta. Rosa, Laguna

Heto na...! Heto na...! Heto na...! Waaaaaa! "Uber" sa saya, tawanan at ka-badtripan ang naganap last night. Hahaha, we never knew na 5pm ang start ng "OKTOBERFEST", at nagpaka-kampante pa kami ni brother bekz without knowing na wala ng vacant table as early as 8pm. Super duper dami ng tao when we got there at super duper long ng pila sa entrance lane. Separate ang pila ng girls and boys. Kaya si brother bekz, pinapila ko na sa amin. Lol. One of the staffs assigned in the entrance lane just told my brother "O, mga babae lang dito. Pakibukas na lang ang zipper." Lol. I just told the guy, "Oks na yan, girl at heart yan." Lol.

For only P50, you'll get 1 free cup of beer and 1 Chippy. Then P12 and P20 for the succeeding cups.
You can select different food and pulutan from different tents. (Not for free, of course. Lol.)

Dito lang me medyo naguluhan, Sam Pinto and Rock Steady weren't mentioned on the ticket and it's okay with me, pedeng naka-label sila dun sa "PLUS OTHER PERFORMERS". But we never saw the band of PARALUMAN and the PUPIL. Lol, I can still remember the sad face of my brother bekz hahaha. Fave nya yun eh.  

One of the supporting bands performed the song of  "Fireworks" by Katy Perry and guess what? Nagliparan ang mga cups of beer. Lol. Ganda sana tignan kaso my lumipad din na bottle of beer. That's why the organizer wanted to stop the show. But the thing is, how can they control the crowd eh, di naman juice ang free hahaha eh almost everybody lasheng na. Di dapat sila nagbenta in bottles. Ano yan? Children's party where you can tell the crowd to behave. Eh nasa ticket nga nila di ba na "Walang Basagan ng Trip."

 Around 12 midnight, the organizers wanted to end the show agad kasi my riot daw na nagaganap outside the entrance gate. Dami nagsisigawan na irefund the tickets if Rock Steady will not perform. We've waited for about 15  minutes and Boom! Lucky us, dumating ang Rock Steady at pinasaya ni Teddy boy ang crowd.

The show ended up so peaceful naman. The event? Great but I hope next time the organizers won't allow others to use bottles. Hirap nyan, enjoy ka nga, pag uwi mo bukol naman ang baon mo. Lol. Bonggacious sa sarap ang 22nd birthday ng aking youngest bro. And guess what, he ordered these super-duper yummy dishes. Babalik-balikan mo talaga, ka-Momsie! The crew? Super attentive when it comes to taking orders and super bilis ng service nila. (relatives ata sila ni  Superman lol.)

I'm really glad they now have this in Sta. Rosa, the fast-growing city in Laguna. For only a 3-minute drive away from our place, you can already enjoy eating at North Park where you can experience great customer satisfaction with their great service and perfect ambiance. Babalikan kita, North Park, whether you like it or not. Ang Mutya ni Inay

"Dalaga ka na hindi na bata, sa daming pagbabago, nakakapanibago..."

Parang kelan lang karga pa kita, pinatatahan kapag umiiyak ka. Gusto mong sumama kahit saan ako magpunta. Kahit nga sa CR humahabol ka pa. Kapag naiihi ka ay nagpapaalam ka pa. Sobra mo akong mahal kaya ganyan ka. Hatid sa umaga at sundo sa hapon from school kahit sched ko sa office ay magkabuhol-buhol. Oks lang sayo kahit coins lang ang extra money mo kasi ang katwiran mo pinagbabaon naman kita ng sandwhich and juice. Di ka pihikan sa food, kahit ano basta edible eh kakainin mo. Ganyan ka dati, hindi ako nakukunsumi.

Pero ngayon, ngayong dalaga ka na, iba na ang dahilan kung ba't umiiyak ka. Hindi ka na nagpapaalam kapag may lakad ka, at madalas pa ay laging tumatakas ka. Nagrereklamo ka kapag small lang ang baon mo, at, grabe, mamahaling juice na ang gusto mo. Ang gusto mo ay lagi kitang iintindihin sa lahat ng bagay kasi, malamang ayaw mo na ng aking gabay. Ganun?

                                                                                                                  

Dalaga ka na nga, pero di mo pa rin maiaalis sa akin na sa iyo'y mag-alala. Kaya sana ay pahalagahan mo ang aking pagiging isang ina, dahil walang sinuman ang makakapagbigay sayo ng tunay na pagmamahal, ako lang at hindi ang BF mo na lagi kang sinasaktan. Pero ano nga pala ang magagawa ko kung yan ang gusto mo. At kahit ipasok kita sa sako basta't ginusto mo, walang magagawa ang pobreng nanay mo.

Isa lang ang hiling ko. Kahit ano pang gimik o kalokohan ang gawin basta kailangan, pag-aaral ay tapusin!

Express Your Feelings

I still remember just last week, I was inside the bus going to Makati when a woman, about mid 50s, approached and asked me, "Miss, may nakaupo? (hmmm, miss ang tawag sken hehehe, meaning mukhang single pa rin ako. Lol.)  I just looked at her and smile. While staring at the window, her phone rang, and imagine, ka-Momsie, her ringing tone was one of my fave songs, "COLLIDE" by Howie Day. Intro pa lang knows ko na hahaha. When she said, "O, loves? San ka na? Sunduin ko lang si Tricia then meet ka nmin sa SM, okay?" They went talking for another 2 minutes when suddenly she said "I love you too, loves. Bye."

I took a glance at her,  and suddenly lots of things came into my mind. So kaka talaga...kakakilig when you hear those words, "I LOVE YOU..." Simple yet profound. They were old but still they don't mind saying those words to each other.  

                                         

Most of us have a difficult time uttering such words like these. Sabi nga nila, "Action speaks louder than words." But you know what? Expressing your feelings by saying "I LOVE YOU", will let your partner feel that he/she is so special, especially for us, women. Don't mind them if they'll call us so maarte but this is what we feel...may kilig factor. Kaya nga kahit maputi na ang buhok ng katabi ko sa bus, she doesn't mind me hearing her saying those words...hahaha. Maybe she wanted to tell me at that moment na "Kalabaw lang ang aging, but not me." Lol.

First Time?

Exciting talaga after giving birth. "OMG! Gosh, my tummy... What happened to my tummy, puro stretch marks? My armpit and my singit, parang like ko ng ibenta as lupain. hahaha. Why, oh, why?" These are some things that bug first time momsies. In short, feeling ugly. O, di ba, exciting talaga? Why is it that most women are experiencing most of these? These are normal.  Pa-Belo ka na lang, teh. But if these things didn't happen to you, para ka nang nanalo sa lotto! Congrats and lucky you, ka-momsie!

But wait... So what? The important thing is, you're now a certified mom! Keribels lang if kasing laki ng watermelon o ng papaya ang boobsie mo, basta importante you need to breastfeed your baby. This will strengthen your bond with each other. Others don't prefer doing it. But who are we to  make pigil to those moms who don't want to make laspag "daw" their boobsie? Hahaha, it's theirs not ours, anyway. They just want their esposos to benefit from it. Lol. But others, valid nman ang mga excuses nila kya keri lang. Exciting, right?

Speaking of hubbies, sometimes out of too much excitement for the baby, we tend to forget to make them asikaso. For example, if you don't have any yayas, maids or relatives who can look out for your baby, do the things that you want to do while your baby is asleep. Don't change your routine for this will make your hubbies feel bad. It's all about time management.

Your life is different now. Just embrace it and live with it for being a mom is so, so, so challenging at the same time rewarding. And just remember, the first time is always the hardest. *wink, wink*.  Ikaw, ano'ng kwento mo, ka-momsie?

Homemade Patties (pork with chicken liver)

Hi, mga Ka-Momsie! Para sa mga working at night and yucky ang taste ng chicken liver for them, let me share one of my fave food and how to cook it, so you won't mind it having chicken liver. Super duper easy to prepare. This is also nice for the kids. Try it!

Ingredients:

1/4 kg- chicken liver -If masipag ka (minced), If tamad ka (chopped) If sosy ka (i-blender mo na, light lang ha)

1/4 kg - ground pork

cloves of garlic  (minced)

1 onion (chopped)

2 eggs

flour

3 tbsp.- oyster sauce
Maggi Magic Sarap Mix

white pepper

sugar 

iodized salt 

Procedure:

Just mix all the ingredients and get 1 spoonful of mixed ingredients then deep fry it.

Best for burger bun, pang-ulam , or even pang-pulutan.

Suggested dips: mayo or ketchup;

vinegar if pang pulutan

Preggy Talk

Did you miss your monthly period? Nakakaramdam ka ba ng nausea, vomiting, craving for food, mood swings, frequent urination at medyo may katamaran ang nararamdaman hahaha… Naku, malamang preggy ka! Pero chillax lang, that's the best thing to happen in your life, ang maging isang mommy. Just to lighten up your feelings as a first time mommy, tara pag-usapan natin habang ikaw ay nagdadalangtao.

Ano nga ba ang pregnancy? From my own definition… it’s the term used when a woman is giving new life for her soon-to-be-baby girl/boy/bakla/tomboy. O, wag kang matawa, serious ako ha… Lol. This is surely every woman's dream. May kaba but there’s the excitement dahil magiging mommy ka na. Yung feeling na hindi mo ma-explain kasi first time mommy ka pa lang. Ako din naging first time mommy din.

I still remember nung delayed ako ng 3 weeks, irregular kasi ako nuon. So confident ako na hindi ako preggy kasi for 2 years of living together with my hubby, eh hindi pa kami nabibiyayaan ng baby ni Lord. One time gumamit ng deodorant yung hubby ko. Sabi ko sa kanya, “Ano ba yan? Ang baho!” Then sabay takbo sa CR at dun ako nag-throw up. Taka siya kasi yun ang fave scent ko. The following day iba na ang pinagamit ko sa kanya, tawas. Ayaw nya, kasi buo yung tawas. Ba’t daw hindi ako bumili ng powdered tawas. Hahaha, nagtaray ako at nagsabing, “Ba’t ayaw mong gamitin, babe? Di naman blokeng tawas ang binili ko para sayo.” Buti na lang maganda mood nya nun. Then kinabukasan, same old routine, asikaso sa hubby. By the time na mag-goodbye kiss na siya sken, I rushed again to the CR para mag-throw up. Di na siya pumasok sa office, instead he accompanied me sa clinic. Boom! Positive! Kaya pala…. Kaya pala ang arte ko, hahaha.

Super duper happy si hubby, kaya todo ang pagiging sunod-sunuran nya sa mga gusto kong kainin. Minsan nga may pagka-OA na nga ako. Like one time, I was craving for Sizzling Sisig. I called him up and asked him to buy me one and syempre payag naman agad si hubby. When he asked me where to buy? I said, “Gusto ko, Sisig ng Cowboy Grill, Mabini, babe.” Bigla siyang natahimik and then he said, “Babe, remember dito sa Cubao ang office ko? Di ba pwedeng dito na lang ako buy ng Sisig mo?” Di ako pumayag at sabi ko basta ang gusto ko, Sisig ng Cowboy Grill, Mabini. Dumating si hubby, dala ang Sisig. I checked the receipt, Cowboy Grill, Mabini nga! Very good! Pero nung dinner time na, all of a sudden ayoko ng kainin yung Sisig, instead sa kanya ko pinakain at gusto ko yun lang ang ulam nya. Kaloka noh? Thanks to him at mahaba pacencia nya.(biskwit lang?) Lol.

Lahat ng fave ko nung di pa ko preggy, eh naging hate ko while I was preggy. Yung iba naman tamad maligo at yung iba ligo ng ligo. Others, they hate the smell of toothpaste, perfume, car freshener etc. Pero yung iba according sa mga naka-chikahan ko, hindi sila naka-experience ng mga unusual things like these. Hello, Mr. Science? Paki-explain nga po ito?

Exciting ang pagiging preggy. But after giving birth...? Yun ang mas exciting and that’s what I’m going to share soon. Ikaw? Ano kwento mo, ka-momsie?
